Family Ministry

"AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD."

Joshua 24:15

We believe God's design for marriage and family promotes healthy homes and healthy communities.  God's creation of family was meant for our good and the good of society.  We realize families today experience stress, conflict, unhappiness, and brokenness.  The constant redefining of family to meet the norms of society have created confusion and uncertainty about the goodness of family.  We believe God is calling the Church to promote God's design for the family as well as encourage, equip, and address issues important to families today.  This includes helping those who experience the brokenness of family. Few people can say that they had the perfect family or have the perfect family.  We all struggle to figure it out and we seek to provide a place where we can grow together.

As we commit our families to serve the Lord, we believe families thrive as we encourage, equip, and address issues by

1. Faith
2. Resources
3. Education
4. Community

We hope to encourage and minister to families through Marriage Enrichment Classes, Parenting Classes, Conferences, and helping parents identify resources like podcasts, blogs, books, and off site conferences.  If you sense God calling you to serve in this area of our church, please contact us with the form below.

Upcoming Family Ministry Opportunities

February 5, 2022
5:00 - 7:30pm

Valentine Day Marriage Enrichment Supper

This special dinner always  blesses us as we hear couples talk about their marriage and faith.  This year Henry and Anne Funderburk, Pete and Judy Dennis, and William and Leah Fleming will share with us.  No one  has a perfect marriage.  So we will laugh,  see how faith helps, recognize "perfect" is not the goal, and how being better disciples together provides  the grace and help we all need.
