What’s Happening with DPC Youth this Fall?

Our Regular Events
At Youth Group (Sundays @ 5pm), we will be continuing to eat together, play games, and study God’s Word. Our new study, which starts this Fall, is on the Westminster Shorter Catechism. Brenda, Fran, and Kelly help to lead this weekly event.

At Church Family Night (Wednesday nights), all ages get to eat and sing together before we have our youth time at 6:15. This a meaningful time of conversation as we look at Jesus’ practice of loving people by giving individuals his undivided attention. And, of course, we have tons of fun too! Andrew, Leigh, David, and Kelly lead this time together.

Our Sunday School class (9:45am on Sundays) is led by Jason, Laura, Fran, and Kelly. We study the Bible together here and pray for one another as we talk about life. Currently, we are moving through the Book of Job.

Special Events
We are also doing:

• Confirmation Class 
• Nativity Play (rehearsal info coming soon). The youth will lead the service on 12/24. 
• Thankful for You(th). This is our Thanksgiving event on 11/15.
• Progressive Dinner. Our Christmas party on 12/13 that travels from house to house for dinner and ends with a gift exchange. 
• Youth Winter Retreat! This will be on MLK weekend and the destination will be Gatlinburg, TN. The trip will include skiing and numerous other activities. The youth will get away in order to have fun and spend focused time growing in their faith. Registration info coming soon!
